Paris terror and Syrian war push ?Brexit down the news agenda
Most British newspapers have dropped ?Brexit news from their front pages for the last two weeks and featured instead the tragedies of the Paris massacre and the Syrian war. Friday November 27 is representative of these changing news priorities, with the Sun and Daily Mail only concentrating their front pages on migration.
But this downgrading of ?Brexit news will not stop pro- and anti- campaigners thinking about its significance – does news of terrorism in Europe and war in Syria make Britons more or less likely to embrace the EU as a security blanket?
These news stories are incidental to the fundamentals of the UK staying in or out of the EU. But does their gravity convert them into fundamentals over a short time?
